Me and Daniel Kessler shortly after an amazing gig in Birmingham. He was literally one foot into the car as he turned to say hello so I only had a very short window to say something, and in that time-frame I basically thought to myself what an artist would want to hear as an acknowledgement of their work, like what possibly could be the best thing for him to hear from a true fan. So it was then I shook his hand and said to him without an further thought ”thankyou for your music” to which he put his hand on his heart, smiled and said ”thankyou so so much for that man it really means a lot for you to say that”. It felt fantastic.
I then proceeded on to ‘pitching myself’ to be their bass player, to which he arched an eyebrow, turned to his right and whilst pointing at him said ”Dude, he’s [Brad Truax] is right there man” to which we both laughed, and I grabbed a photo or two with him.
